Headquartered in the UK, and operating across Europe, the business develops, manufactures and distributes a wide range of products for both companion animals and livestock. Its portfolio includes innovative medicines, pet healthcare solutions and support services for veterinary professionals. With a strong focus on partnerships, sustainability and innovation, Animalcare plays an important role in supporting animal welfare and advancing standards of care across the sector.

This year, we worked closely with Animalcare to bring their story of growth and transformation to life in the Annual Report. A central focus was the landmark acquisition of Randlab in Australia, the largest in the Company’s history. Alongside this, the year also saw the sale of Identicare and the Group’s equity in Stem Animal Health – both of which we showcased through dedicated Strategy in Action case studies. Together, we elevated key sections such as the business model and strategy, illustrating how Animalcare creates value for stakeholders and how its three growth pillars – organic growth, inorganic growth and new product development – work in tandem to drive progress. The report highlighted not only the transformative potential of Randlab, but also the Group’s disciplined approach to portfolio management and long-term value creation.

Moving forward, we intend to build on this close collaboration with Animalcare as the benefits of their strategy take shape following the transformative acquisition of Randlab and the portfolio refinements through the sales. By working closely together, we aim to convey the story of Animalcare’s three growth pillars, and their pivotal role in driving long-term value in the global animal health market.
